A Conference & Banqueting Porter is required for the Radisson BLU Royal Hotel, Dublin City
The stylish Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin City Centre opened its doors at the crossroads of Golden Lane and Chancery Lane adjacent to Dublin Castle in 2007, a newly built deluxe hotel with dramatic contemporary elements right in the historic heart of the city. Work is underway on the initial €15m phase of a very significant investment and development at Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin with a new eight-storey extension being built. The extension will be home to a spacious new spa, juice bar and gymnasium and will add 84 high spec bedrooms to the busy 150-room hotel. Taking place in various carefully managed stages, in different parts of the building from now until 2019, work is already underway on this first phase of development with the details of a second phase, to include a major new convention centre. The new development is happening against a backdrop of great dynamism and energy in the area, with the burgeoning success of this part of the city stretching from what is possibly Ireland’s most significant historical building, Dublin Castle, to the wealth of exciting new bars, restaurants, coffee shops and design-focused businesses along the axis of George’s Street and its tributaries all the way to the canal.
We are currently looking for a Conference & Banqueting Porter to join our team and will be required to work when there are events, meetings or conferences in house. Hours will be agreed depending on the business.
You will be working mainly in the Meeting & Events Department. You will also be required to work in the Restaurant and Bar when requried.
Provide professional, efficient and courteous service to all customers and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.
Ensure that all working areas are clean and tidy at all times and that mis-en-place are in place.
Responsible for setting meeting rooms as well as serving food and beverages.
Thorough working knowledge of food & beverage menus and ability to guide guest as necessary.
Flexibility to work in all outlets as desired

Ability to cope under pressure
Attention to detail
Resistant - ability to cope with demanding customer requirements and different situations
Preferably a desire to want to progress within this industry
Experience in banqueting or a similar role is essentail
Previous experience working behind a bar serving drinks
