Please check if you can access your @ibat.ie Gmail account (not your personal Gmail account), remember there may be an invite in your inbox to join your Google Classroom so it’s important that the Google Classroom App is used with your @ibat.ie.
You can also join the Google Meet link at the top of the Classroom App (see icon with red box), also check that your @ibat.ie Google account is selected when you access your Google Classroom and also before you join with Google Meet (see instructions below), if not, it will ask for a code.
!!!Very Important:
You cannot access your Google Meet with a personal Gmail account, it must be an @ibat.ie account. Always ensure your own @ibat.ie account is used and selected before you join the Google meeting, if the current account is not an @ibat.ie account just use the switch account option at the top right of the Google Meet App. This is to ensure both teachers and students are part of the same Video meeting every time going forward. If you don’t, you will be asked for a code.

On the mobile version, it’s the same but the option is displayed at the bottom, but the same also applies, if it’s not an @ibat.ie account just switch before you join.
Then click “Join Now”

If you are using your mobile phone or a tablet you will need to download the Google Classroom App below.
It is important that you add your @ibat.ie Google Account to your phone hen accessing the Google Classroom App.

Please enter the Google Gmail/Classroom/Meet @ibat.ie username and password sent to you.
Please try the following steps if you are having issues accessing your designated Google Classroom.
- Access the Classroom App.
- Click the menu item at the top left

- Check to see if the current and active account is your @ibat.ie account.
- It should show your student number@ibat.ie
If not, please click the little down arrow and check if it’s listed, if so, please select and try and accessing the Classroom again, if not, you’ll need to add the @ibat.ie as another account see below).

Again, please remember to always use your @ibat.ie Google account, this needs to be selected before you access your Google Classroom. If using the Google Classroom App, there should be a Google Meet video icon link at the very top, the icon looks like a camera.
Please click this icon to join your Google Meet Online Class with your teacher and classmates (see below).
